•The Saudi riyal is the official currency of Saudi Arabia and is denoted by the ISO code SAR. The riyal further divides into 100 hallalahs, and although a one-hallalah coin is issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, it is very rarely seen. http://lebmoon.com/countries/uae-dirham.jpg
•The Emirati dirham, often denoted by AED, is the official currency used throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
While the dirham is in full use today, this was not always the case. The first currency in the UAE was the Bahraini Dinar, which was implemented when the Trucial States (made up of the seven emirates) met to discuss their unity in 1966. Later that year, in September, all the Trucial States with the exception of Abu Dhabi replaced the old currency with the Qatar-Dubai Riyal. This continued until December 2, 1971, when the United Arab Emirates Dirham became the official currency. The AED was issued by the United Arab Emirates Currency Board from 1973 until 1982. Thereafter, it was issued by the United Arab Emirates Central Bank. Since the late 1980s, the nation's government has employed a fixed exchange rate for the Dirham against the US Dollar.
What is the Bahraini Dinar (BHD)?
http://lebmoon.com/countries/bahrain-dinar.jpg
•The official currency of Bahrain is the dinar (BHD). It is the third highest valued currency, after the Maltese Lira (second) and the Kuwaiti Dinar. Before 1965, Bahrain used the Gulf rupee, a currency circulated by the Indian government.
As the Gulf rupee quickly became devalued, the dinar was introduced during 1965 at a rate of 10 rupees for 1 dinar. The name dinar is derived from the Roman word denarius. One dinar consists of 1000 fils. Coins currently in circulation include 5 fils, 10 fils, 25 fils, 50 fils, 100 fils, and 500 fils. Banknotes in circulation are BD1/2, BD1, BD5, BD10, and BD20.
Like some of the other neighboring countries within the Middle Eastern region, Bahrain maintains a fixed exchange rate. Currently, it stands at approximately 2.66 dollars to 1 dinar.
What is the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD)?
http://lebmoon.com/countries/kuwait-dinar.jpg
•The Kuwaiti Dinar, denoted by KWD, is the official currency of Kuwait. The KWD, which is divided into 100 units, was introduced to Kuwait in 1960 as a replacement for the Indian Rupee. The currency has maintained a very high exchange rate, making it one of the highest valued currencies in the world.
What is the Qatari riyal (QAR)?

Since 1980, the riyal has been fixed against the U.S. Dollar at a ratio of about 3.64 to 1.

The banknotes are beautiful and of "swiss" quality with many security features rendering them very hard to counterfeit.
